What are the active ingredients in NexGard PLUS?

NexGard Plus contains three active ingredients — afoxolaner, moxidectin and pyrantel — to protect against common internal and external parasites.

Does NexGard PLUS come in different strengths?

NexGard Plus is available in four strengths indicated by color-coded packages. Green: Small dogs (8.1-17 lbs); Yellow: Medium dogs (17.1-33 lbs); Purple: Large dogs (33.1-66 lbs); Red: Extra large dogs (66.1-132 lbs).

What types of parasites does NexGard PLUS protect against?

One monthly chew kills adult fleas before they can lay eggs while simultaneously killing ticks, preventing heartworm disease, and treating and controlling three species of hookworms and two species of roundworms.

Can puppies use NexGard PLUS?

Puppies can use NexGard Plus so long as they are 8 weeks of age or older and weigh at least 4 pounds.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION:

NexGard® PLUS (afoxolaner, moxidectin, and pyrantel chewable tablets) is safe for puppies at 8 weeks, weighing 4 pounds or more. The most frequently reported adverse reactions include diarrhea, vomiting, lethargy, and itching. Use with caution in dogs with a history of seizures or neurologic disorders. Dogs should be tested for existing heartworm infection prior to starting a preventive.
