Company Announcement
Raaw Energy is voluntarily recalling select dog food products due to possible Listeria contamination. Affected products were produced between July 17 and December 23, 2025, as well as the Beef and Turkey Medley with a batch date of March, 31, 2026.
The company is taking this action out of an abundance of caution. While not all products from those periods tested positive, bacterial contamination was identified during the same timeframe, and some products went untested. As a result, products manufactured within these dates could possibly be affected.
Health Risks for Pets and People
Pet parents are advised not to feed any potentially affected product to dogs. Please discard these items immediately to help reduce the risk of illness.
People and pets can be exposed to Listeria monocytogenes through consumption of contaminated food or contact with contaminated surfaces — such as bowls, utensils, or countertops. The risk of illness from contaminated pet food is heightened when people do not thoroughly wash their hands after handling the food for their pet, or fail to properly clean surfaces that may have come into contact with the product.
Pets exposed to contaminated food can be infected without showing symptoms. Infected pets, even if they do not show symptoms, can act as carriers and transfer Listeria monocytogenes through their feces and saliva.
People infected with Listeria monocytogenes may experience some or all of the following symptoms: nausea, vomiting, aches, fever and diarrhea. Severe Listeria monocytogenes infections can spread through the bloodstream to the nervous system (including the brain), resulting in meningitis and other potentially fatal illnesses. Pregnant women are especially susceptible to Listeria infection, which can result in miscarriage. The young, the elderly, and people with weak immune systems are also vulnerable to infection.
Recalled Pet Food
Pet parents order Raaw Energy dog food from the company’s website and pick it up in person. The affected products were distributed to customers in Conn., Del., Mass., Md., N.H., N.J., N.Y., Pa., and Va.
The products are packaged in either 2-pound or 5-pound clear plastic tubes sealed on each end with a metal clip. Products are sold frozen in brown cardboard boxes containing 5 to 20 clear plastic tubes. The cardboard boxes have white stick-on labels identifying the product flavor, ingredients, and date code. See product list below.
Based on testing conducted on samples collected by New Jersey Department of Agriculture, some finished products tested positive and tested negative to contain Listeria monocytogenes. Not all the food was tested.
For your safety, please treat these products as potentially contaminated. The company asks that you dispose of them in a secure manner so they cannot be accessed by people or animals.

To better serve customers, Raaw Energy will be temporarily stopping all production of dog food effective May 21, 2026 so the brand can carefully evaluate current issues, address them properly, and take appropriate corrective actions.
As part of this process, Raaw Energy will be resurfacing key areas to make them smoother, more sanitary, and easier to clean. All drains and sewer lines will be thoroughly cleaned and treated, and additional cleaning efforts will be made on the evaporators.
The company will also be strengthening quality control measures. It will be purchasing a pathogen detection system and testing every batch to help ensure the safety and quality of its products.
