1. Scribner’s Catskill Lodge

If you’re looking for a cozy mountain escape, look no further than Scribner’s Catskill Lodge. Located just a mile away from Hunter Mountain Resort, you can unleash your inner ski-bunny. However, with twenty acres of mountainside property to explore, as well as an on-site restaurant, there will be no reason for you and your pup to leave. The modern rustic hotel offers fireplaces in most rooms, so you and your dog can unwind by the fire after a fun day outside. A nightly $50 non-refundable fee is charged upon arrival. 

2. Rivertown Lodge

731 Warren St, Hudson, NY 12534

Located in the Hudson Valley, Hudson is vibrant little city with lots to do. With 63 antique shops alone, it can bring out the interior designer in anyone. Once a movie theatre, Rivertown Lodge sits at the center of town, along the main drag. Walk your dog to the local farmers market, up and down the street of cafes, shops, and restaurants, or along the scenic Hudson River. A $30 nightly fee is charged upon arrival. 

3. The Adelphi Hotel

Saratoga Springs is a city rich in history and luxury. During the Gilded Age, the wealthy flocked to the city at the foothills of the Adirondacks, famous for its horse racing and wellness centers. To this day, it’s continued to be a top tourist destination. The historic 4-star hotel, which just reopened after a major renovation, is the perfect luxurious stay for you and your pet. Adelphi Hotel offers all the amenities your pet might need (or want) – including cozy beds, chew toys, food & water dishes, leashes, and collars. A one-time $75 non-refundable fee is charged upon arrival. 

4. Hasbrouck House

3805 Main St, Stone Ridge, NY 12484

Located in the Mid-Hudson Valley, and surrounded by the Catskill Mountains, this 18th century stone mansion-turned-hotel is the perfect cozy getaway for you and your pup. Nestled in the woods among 50-acres of land, you and your dog will have plenty of nature to explore. However, if you do choose to stray from the hotel, you’ll find several quaint country hamlets to stroll about, as well as ski resorts, hiking trails, lakes, and rivers. Ask for Room 14, or the 3-bedroom Cottage – both of which are the pet-friendly quarters. 

5. The Sagamore Resort

110 Sagamore Rd, Bolton Landing, NY 12814

Built in 1883, The Sagamore Hotel has been a mainstay on Lake George’s beautiful coast for 137 years. Nominated for Travel + Leisure’s World’s Best 2020, it is a must-see destination for you and your pup. Located directly on the Adirondack lake’s shores, you and your dog can swim, kayak, hike, or lounge by the pool. A short distance away is the town of Lake George, with a thriving downtown to walk your pup. The Sagamore welcomes dogs who are 30 pounds or under. Your dog will be gifted with a goody bag containing waste bags and treats. The Sagamore also provides plush doggy beds, and food and water bowls, to make their stay extra luxurious. A $75 non-refundable fee is charged per night. 

6. Lake Placid Lodge

Modeled after the Great Camps of the Gilded Age, this quintessential Adirondack stay offers year-round comfort and activities for you and your dog. With 17 cabins sitting along the shores of Lake Placid, all outfitted with fireplaces, you and your dog are ensured a cozy stay. Lake Placid Lodge is a sister property to The Sagamore, so similar rates and accommodations for pets apply, [see #5 The Sagamore Hotel] however, the lodge does not have a size limit for dogs, so big and chonky pups are welcome too!

7. The Arnold House

839 Shandelee Rd, Livingston Manor, NY, 12758

To cap off the list is the perfect country escape for you and your dog. Located in the heart of the Catskills, this chic boutique hotel gives you the country feel with modern amenities. The Arnold House is very welcoming to guest’s fur-babies. Run your dogs year-round on the 80+ acres of meadows, nature trails, and pond! Treat yourself to a Spa day onsite, or grab a drink and meal on the Tavern’s pet-friendly outdoor deck. All dogs are welcome, and guests are charged a $50 nightly fee per pet.
