Midlands

Location: 3333 Georgia Ave. NW Washington, DC 20010

Dogs are welcome on the large outdoor patio of this Columbia Heights beer garden. Here, you can try one of their 22 rotating draft beers while you and your pup socialize. There are plenty of picnic tables with umbrellas for shade on a sunny day. A small menu is available for food but you’re also welcome to bring your own.

Wonderland Ballroom

Location: 1101 Kenyon St. NW Washington, DC 20010

The outdoor beer garden in Columbia Heights is the perfect place to post up with your pup. This bar regularly hosts live music and comedy so if you enjoy a live show, you’ll probably find one you like here. They’re perhaps most famous for their annual Sundress Fest fundraiser in May.

Wet Dog Tavern

Location: 2100 Vermont Ave. NW Washington, DC 20001

This U St bar was made for dog lovers! Named in memory of the owner’s late dog, this bar welcomes and encourages you to bring your pups. Dogs have to stay on the patio, but there are heaters to keep it open all year. They have a small burger menu to eat from.

Dacha Beer Garden

Location: 1600 7th St. NW Washington, DC 20001

Shaw neighborhood dog owners love hanging out on the patio of Dacha. This place can get pretty crowded, so keep an eye on your pup while there. Try some of the rotating craft beers as well as the traditional beer garden food menu available.

Wunder Garten

Location: 1101 First St. NE Washington, DC 20002

When you need a break from the office in NoMa, hit the green patio of Wunder Garten for a change in scenery. Play some of their lawn games or just hang out in the lounge chairs. Their patio is climate controlled so you and your dog can hang out here all year long.

Art and Soul

Location: 415 Jersey Ave. NW Washington, DC 20001

Pups have their own menu on the patio of this Captiol Hill restaurant! You and your dog can both have a nice dinner out together at Art and Soul. Or you could always just grab a drink – they have a non-alcoholic option for dogs to enjoy.

Colada Shop

Location: 1405 T St. Washington, DC 20009

Can’t decide between coffee or a cocktail? Why not both? Bring your pup to the patio of this Cuban Cafe off of U St for plenty of beverage and snack options to choose from. They even have cookies made just for the dogs!

Cafe Saint-Ex

Location: 1847 14th St. Washington, DC 20009

Mondays are for the dogs at Cafe Saint-Ex. Every Monday they host “Yappy Hour” and if you bring your dog to hang out, you can enjoy happy hour specials all night! Pups are welcome on the patio any day of the week, but Monday is the night to visit this 14th St restaurant.

Commissary

Location: 1443 P St. Washington, DC 20005

This Logan Circle restaurant welcomes your dogs on the patio. They have a wide variety of drinks and food options for you to choose from while hanging with your pooch. They also host a yearly adoption event with City Dogs Rescue if you’re in the market for a new pup in your home.

Radiator

Location: 1430 Rhode Island Ave. NW Washington, DC 20005

Radiator is happy to welcome you and your dog on their patio year-round. They’ve been known to have dog-themed drinks on occasion as well as pet friendly events. Bring your pup for their brunch and chase the Sunday Scaries away!
